How to Participate

Welcome to the Voice for Health Care Online Dialogue! This is an opportunity for you to learn more about an important issue that affects all of us and share your thoughts with key decisions makers.

Using an interactive choicebook (Step 1), you will explore different choices for the future of health care. You will be asked to think about your values and vision on this issue.

Following this personal deliberation you can decide whether to participate in a follow up dialogue with a small group of citizens and a moderator (Step 2) to work together on the key health care questions facing our states and nation. This dialogue will take place in mid-November. Rather than a typical discussion board or chat room, online dialogue is a process that looks to find common ground and reveal new ways forward.

If you’re ready to start, move to Step 1!

Step 1: The Choicebook – Personal Deliberation
The choicebook lays out key choices on health care and asks for your views, through a structured question and answer format. It should take about 20 to 30 minutes to complete. It’s an interesting experience in itself and also a helpful preparation for the online dialogue.

Please note: The choicebook is now closed.

Step 2: Dialogue Forum
The dialogue forum is your space to explore the issues with other participants, guided by a moderator. The conversation will focus on the issues and choices presented in the choicebook. The moderator will guide the group and help keep things on track. There will be many dialogues happening at once. You can view all the dialogues at other virtual tables but can only make a post in your own dialogue!
